Meet Brendan TobinBrendan Tobin has extensive experience in government, media, and public relations. He is also a strategic planning & management consultant and a certified executive coach with a long list of credits. He began his career in journalism, and has won accolades for his field reporting work from the Associated Press and the National Association of Chiefs of Police. In 1989, he was at the helm of the News & Sports Departments for a station that won "Station of the Year for News, Sports, and Community Service" from the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters. Brendan also enjoyed several years behind the microphone as a program host on a number of other radio stations in New Jersey and Connecticut. In 1990, he decided to make a career change from merely reporting on problems to working to solve them. First, he worked in consultative sales, finding solutions to client problems in a variety of technologies. Then, in 1998, he started The Tobin Group where he merged his media and public relations experience with his long list of contacts in the business world. As a twice elected Councilman, he has developed extensive relationships on both sides of the aisle from the local level to the White House. His network in all areas of his work extends across the US, with Brendan being widely known as "the guy to call" when you need answers found or connections made. Today, he is widely known for his guest columns and appearances in numerous magazines, including "Sharing Ideas," "Living In Balance," and many others. His weekly feature, "Your Personal Coach," ran from 1998 to 2001 in the "Star-Ledger," New Jersey's largest newspaper, reaching over 600,000 readers each week. Brendan is also a twice-published author with "Yes, You Can! Extraordinary Results From Ordinary People," a book on personal & professional success strategies, and "Hollywood, NJ," a book about the amazing connection between Hollywood and New Jersey. His broad scope of work has resulted in countless interviews in every form of media, including television and radio stations in several major markets, nationally and internationally on the Gannett & PR newswires, and in multiple newspaper and magazine interviews. His up-front style appeals to people because he cuts through the clutter and nonsense that holds many people and organizations back from true success. Brendan's coaching services and his lively & informative speaking appearances and seminars have earned him a wide range of clients that include many executives, professional athletes, actors and actresses, corporations, associations, and colleges & universities.
